I have struggled with sexual addictions, alcohol, cocaine and opioids for the last number of years. I was extremely depressed for a long time until I met my girlfriend. I then began to depend on her to find happiness. We broke up, and I became even more depressed to the point of being self-destructive and suicidal.
I knew I had to get help and turn to God, as there was no one else to depend on. I was quickly killing myself. I would not have lasted another day if I had not come into Adult & Teen Challenge.
I have found joy, happiness, and peace with God and no longer need to depend on substances or toxic relationships with women to find these things. Adult & Teen Challenge has taught me to put my trust in God and to fully surrender to him, as I was losing everything before coming into the program.
