Galatians 6:9
“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” Galatians 6:9
There are seasons when the road feels long, the load feels heavy, and the next step feels harder than the last. Yet Scripture keeps calling us back to one simple truth: steady the course. Not in our own strength, but in the strength of the One who walks beside us.
For some, the challenge is the daily grind. For others, it’s the quiet ache of grief – the empty chair, the missing voice, the sudden stillness where laughter used to live. Loss can shake our footing, but it does not remove God’s presence. He steadies us even when our own legs tremble.
Three helps for staying steady when life feels unsteady:
* Remember Who Holds You – When the path is uncertain, God is not. His grip on you is stronger than your grip on Him.
“The Lord’s unfailing love surrounds those who trust in Him.” Psalm 32:10
* Take the Next Small Step
You don’t need to see the whole road – just the next faithful step. God meets us in motion, not perfection.
* Lean Into Community
Grief isolates, but healing grows in shared strength. Let others pray for you, sit with you, and carry what you cannot.
Lord, steady our hearts today. For those who are weary, give strength. For those who are grieving, give comfort. For those who feel lost, give direction. Help us take the next step with courage, knowing You walk beside us. Hold us close, guide us gently, and keep us faithful in the work You’ve placed before us. Amen.
You don’t have to run today. You don’t even have to see far ahead. Just steady the course – one step, one breath, one prayer at a time. God is already in the place you’re heading, and He will not let you walk it alone.
