The Brandon Women’s Home is a safe place for women with life-controlling addictions to find the freedom they’ve been searching for.  Located on a small, picturesque acreage fifteen minutes Northwest of Brandon, MB, our addiction treatment centre is an ideal setting to take the steps necessary for restoration and wholeness.

Our passion is to create a loving family atmosphere for everyone who spends time at the Brandon Women’s Home and to allow the love of Christ to forever change their lives.  We are thankful for the transformation that happens here and you will be too.

The main house has a capacity for 16 clients and 5 graduates with classrooms and a large, open-concept living room and dining room.  This centre also has a sprawling backyard, with a large deck with lots of space to eat and visit and a big fire pit for summer bonfires and a trampoline.

Program Goals at The Brandon Centre for Addiction

Whether you’re looking for a drug rehab program or a place to go to reconnect your soul, our goal is to help you recover from substance abuse and learn healthier ways to cope with the stresses of everyday life. At this location, we’re committed to women in the following ways:

  • Treating you with respect at all times
  • Helping you learn how to live as independently as possible, without the aid of alcohol or drugs
  • Giving you opportunities to define your own identity
  • Helping you capitalize on your natural strengths
  • Ensuring you have the skills you need to work and maintain rewarding relationships
  • Supporting your emotions in a safe environment

What Makes The Brandon Centre Different?!

Our staff are here to walk alongside women as they dare to break free from old patterns of thinking and relating and are willing to delve into tough topics such as, complex trauma, anger, family relationships and addiction.

In Personal Studies for New Life in Christ (PSNL), we offer personal learning plans for each student that cover the areas of salvation, self-image, spiritual growth, family, work, responsibility and a chance to reconnect with Christ.

Women within the Brandon Centre also take part in our Group Studies for New Life in Christ (GSNL) that touches on topics like anger and personal rights, personal relationships with others, and how to deal with personal offence.

What Else Does the Brandon Centre Offer?

At the Brandon Women’s Home we offer a Work Experience Program Monday to Friday, where they learn valuable work skills for future employment.

The Brandon Centre also offers a Workplace Certification Program where our women are trained and receive level 1 and 2 first aid along with their Manitoba Safe Food Handlers certificate.  Skills like these help the women by adding to their resume and finding a job once they have finished the program.

The main setting for the Work Experience Program in Brandon is our Super Thrift Store where you will learn skills like shipping and receiving, health and safety, customer service, cash handling and teamwork.  We also have opportunities for women to learn life skills such as cooking, cleaning and budgeting.
