I had a very good childhood with my loving mom, dad and sister. I completed high school and played lots of sports. As an adult, I started smoking marijuana and doing cocaine on the weekends but quit working to grow and sell drugs. Soon after that, I joined a gang. At age 28 I survived a gang attack where my arms and legs were broken with a sledgehammer and was stabbed multiple times. You would think this would stop me from living that kind of life but it didn’t. I was soon addicted to painkillers and was in deeper than ever before. When I realized many of my friends were either dead or in jail I started thinking about my life. Other friends only cared about themselves and money.

I reached out to a close friend who worked at Adult & Teen Challenge. He told me to come and visit and ended up entering the program. I was introduced to God and asked Him to forgive me. My new brothers have been teaching me about the Bible. My life has changed so much. I’ve found Freedom thanks to God and I’m excited to help others!
